| One
of the goals of the PTA is to raise enough money to support our school's
ability to provide those "extras" every student appreciates: a
music curriculum, a library with wonderful resources (including a
librarian), and various family events. For more information on how
we spend your hard earned dollars, please visit our Budget page.
We sponsor five major fund raising events. Please click on each to learn more. |

Help
the CFK PTA earn
|
|
|
|
What
is it? Each
family is asked to give $100 (or whatever amount you think your family is
able to give). Some families give $100 per child at CFK. Some
grandparents also participate. NOTE: Because the CFK PTA is a
501 (c) 3 organization – your Hassle-Free contributions are tax
deductible! This is a donation that is in addition to your
membership dues, but you can pay it over a period of months if you need
to. Why
do we do it? The
Hassle-Free 100 fundraiser was put into place several years ago to replace
multiple smaller fundraising activities during the year. We have one
Fall fundraiser through Innisbrook for gift wrap, cookie dough and
restaurant discount cards as our primary fundraising activity. The
Hassle-Free 100 program is our only other major fundraising activity.
A Hassle-Free 100 donation keeps you and your children from having to
spend time attending fundraising events (spaghetti dinners, etc) or
selling additional products to your friends and neighbors throughout the
year. What
is the money used for? Because
of CFK’s small size, the PTA at Center for Knowledge plays a much larger
role to help expand our curriculum and capabilities. PTA funds are
used to pay the contractor fees for our Music teacher and our Librarian.
Each year, the PTA provides $250 for each teacher for classroom supplies.
The PTA also pays for the Accelerated Reader program expenses, and for
most social events such as Grandparent's Day and the Back to School
Picnic.

To celebrate your child's birthday and help build our library, please consider joining the Birthday Book Club. The month of your child's birthday (or their half birthday for our students born June, July and August), our librarian will purchase a book that interests your child and that book will be dedicated to your child, in honor of his/her birthday. You can click here to download the form. Please fill it out with a check made out to CFK PTA for $15. The form and payment may be dropped off in the main office or sent in to your child's teacher. |

General Mills' Foods sponsors a fantastic program, Box Tops for Education. Each time you purchase a product with the Box Tops logo, simply cut off the logo and send it in to your child's teacher. We receive 10 cents for each box top, and they add up quickly! This year, Box Tops proceeds will go to our computer lab for new technology. |
